Solar Eclipse

This painting is inspired by the April 2024 Great North American Eclipse, envisioning the awe of standing in the path of totality. The Sun’s corona is shown in an exaggerated, glowing form, capturing the delicate and otherworldly structure of the Sun’s outer atmosphere revealed only during a total solar eclipse. A rare alignment that reminds us how precisely and beautifully the cosmos moves. This piece is painted on a 10 inch square canvas using fluid art techniques with acrylic paint and finished with a gloss varnish.
